Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a couple’s engagement session at Malibu Beach. It was their first time having professional photos taken—they were nervous, especially the groom who joked, “We only need three good photos!”

Despite the nerves, something magical happened during our one-hour shoot. The waves crashed at our feet, sand stuck to our toes, and the sun warmed our skin. As they laughed and relaxed, the couple forgot about the camera and focused on each other. That’s when we captured those genuine, heartfelt moments.

By the end of the session, we were all a little sandy and sun-kissed, but we walked away with more than just “three good photos”—we created memories that will last a lifetime. I’m so excited to capture their wedding next year!
